Indexed Universal Life Insurance
FL117810 - 2 Hours
This Indexed Universal Life continuing education course explains the features and structure of IUL insurance including the tax benefits and consequences.

There is new interest in equity indexed products, which are an attempt to fill the gap between two ends of the spectrum - a "safe" universal life policy and a more “risky” variable life policy. Universal life policies provide more flexibility than traditional whole life insurance, but like whole life, UL policies build up cash value over time. IUL policies benefit when financial markets do well (as with a variable life policy). The cash value is tied to the performance of a certain financial index and rises and falls along with that index.
